Century Body is launching a donation drive for Student Success Stores a non-profit project started by long time student Nicole Hebert-Ford.
Student Success Stores’ mission is to help at-risk students succeed in school by providing a free, anonymous place to shop for items that meet their basic needs. During the 2018-2019 school year, students at 4 high-poverty Columbus City middle schools and 1 high school will be able to shop at no cost at their schools for essentials: food, hygiene items, school supplies, and basic clothing.
This year there is an URGENT need for gently used, or new, closed toe/heeled shoes that students can wear to school (sizes 5-12) both male and female, NEW socks and underwear (men's and women's sizes XS - 3XL), new or gently used umbrellas, and new or gently used backpacks/book bags appropriate for middle or high school. I know these items cost a bit more than the hygiene items we’ve asked for in the past, but the needs of our Central Ohio community are great, and I know I can count on our folks to help the kids in need.
There will be a box near clearly labeled for donations beginning Friday 10/11 through Friday 11/8. You'll receive a box marked on your challenge card for your donations as a little incentive.
Thank you in advance for your generosity.
